This Wednesday the Israel Netball team will be leaving to take part in the 2016 Netball Europe Open Challenge Cup that will be held in Newcastle, England at the end of this week.

Coach Laragh Widdess and Assistant Coach Lexi Schapiro have put the squad through rigorous training sessions since they were selected a few short months ago.

The squad is scheduled to play two games on Thursday, another two on Friday and, depending on results, a fifth match on Sunday - a tough task for any team - but our efficient manager Robyn Ginsberg will no doubt keep the girls in order and Primary Carer Raimi Tuchinsky will do her utmost to keep the girls on court!

We have not participated in an international tournament for three years but we have high hopes of doing well against our rivals who will be Malta, Gibraltar, Switzerland and the Republic of Ireland. Teams from Grenada and the US will also be competing.

The matches will be livestreamed so you can also enjoy watching Israel's team.

Wish them luck!
